Michele is an Of Counsel contract attorney with the firm. Michele concentrates her practice on appellate work in all contexts, and in defense on professional liability, E & O, employment law, general insurance defense and commercial litigation. She has defended architects, engineers, attorneys, medical providers, construction contractors, and oilfield contractors, to name some of the types of her litigation, arbitration and client counseling areas. She has a long list of published cases she has successfully handled. Prior to becoming an attorney, she used her geology and business experience in the oil and gas industry for many years. After law school she worked with the insurance defense firms of Coats Rose, Ball & Weed, and McLeod Alexander. Michele is a graduate of Dartmouth College with an A.B. degree in 1979. She graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in 1991 where she was the Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of International Law and a research assistant to a law professor. She is licensed to practice law in Texas and in the U.S. District Courts for Southern and Western Districts of Texas, plus the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
