Paul has been an Of Counsel working with Mr. Orlando since 1993, except for a few years around 2000. Paul concentrates on insurance coverage and appellate work. He assisted Mr. Orlando on all the briefs and preparations for oral argument to the U. S. Supreme Court in Wilton vs. Seven Falls in 1995. That case involved the defense of an international group of insurers on claims of bad faith in which the damage allegations exceeded a hundred million dollars. Paul has assisted with innumerable large, complex insurance coverage matters in virtually all insurance contexts and in appeals in matters throughout the United States.

Paul is a graduate of George Washington University with a B.A. degree in 1983. His law degree is from Columbia University where he graduated with honors in 1986. He attended the Economic Law Institute in Frankfurt, Germany in 1987 completing the program with a Certificate in Economic Community and Civil Law. He then was a law clerk for The Honorable Jerry E. Smith, United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. He attained his Master of Laws degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 1996. He is admitted to practice in New York and the District of Columbia and in numerous U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals. He is a member of the Maritime Law Association, and the Houston Bar Association.
